Speculators increased net bullish positions in Gold last week

FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), speculators increased gold bullish positions last week after a sharp decline in positions the previous week.

The non-commercial futures contracts of Comex gold futures witnessed a weekly change of +633 contracts to total a net position of +72,723 contracts during the week ended June 16th. The weekly bullish positions rose by 4,240 contracts, while the weekly bearish positions fell by 3,607 contracts.

Meanwhile, commercial positions witnessed a decline in overall bearish positions for a fourth week to a net total position of -76,637 contracts during the week ended June 16th.

Gold currently trades at USD 1194.60/Oz, down 0.60% or USD 7.10 on the day.

EUR/USD drops to 1.1350, bund yields near session highs

The EUR/USD pair fell into losses to trade around 1.1350 even though the German bund yields trade near session highs as bond markets cheer developments relating to Greece.
