Crude net bearish positions rose slightly last week

FXStreet (Mumbai) - As per the data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), speculators increased their overall bullish bets in WTI oil futures last week after witnessing a decline in bullish bets in the previous two weeks.

The non-commercial contracts of crude oil futures witnessed a weekly change of +1,278 contracts to total a net position of +327,133 contracts during the week ended June 16th. The bullish positions in oil futures increased by 1,134 contracts, while the bearish positions fell by -144 contracts.

The WTI crude futures currently trade at USD 60.45/barrel, up 0.79% for the day.
