Fed may hike the discount rate today - Chatter
FXStreet (Bali) - The US Federal Reserve meets later on Monday, with the market keeping an eye on the mysterious announcement they might make.

As per information obtained from the Fed website, there's only one matter on the Agenda "Review and determination by the Board of Governors of the advance and discount rates to be charged by the Federal Reserve Banks."
There is some talk in the market place that the Fed may hike the discount rate tonight. While it should not be a market mover, it nonetheless would signal they are ready to act in December, with the Fed fund futures contract assigning over 70% of a rate hike in the coming meeting.
