Fed Lockhart: Case for lift-off is compelling

FXStreet (Córdoba) - President of Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Dennis Lockhart said that the case for a rate hike is compelling, unless there is a dramatic shift in the data ahead of the meeting. He added that December FOMC meeting will be 'historic in character'.

Lockhart supports the view that low inflation is transitory and stated the US economy is closing in on full employment.
