Market wrap on the US session: DXY slightly weaker - Westpac

Analysts at Westpac offered a market wrap on the US session.

"Global market sentiment: Risk sentiment remained strong, pushing the S&P500 to a fresh record high and benefitting high yielders AUD and NZD.

Interest rates: US 10yr treasury yields rose from 1.50% to 1.55%, while the 2yr yield rose from 0.69% to 0.72%. US data releases were minor for markets, NY manufacturing disappointing but NAHB home builder sentiment nudging higher. 

Currencies:  The US dollar index is slightly weaker. EUR rose from 1.1160 to 1.1203. USD/JPY ranged between 101.90 and 102.30. AUD rose from 0.7650 to 0.7691. NZD rose from 0.7170 to 0.7218. AUD/NZD ranged between 1.0630 and 1.0675."
