Gradual hikes seem appropriate – FOMC’s E.Rosengren

At his speech today, Boston Fed President Eric Rosengren has advocated for a gradual tightening of the US monetary conditions.

Rosengren now sees the domestic economy expanding over 2% in the next couple of quarters, while the solid performance of the labour market could well see levels above full employment during next year.

The greenback, gauged by the US Dollar Index, is extending the daily rebound to levels above the 95.00 mark, all within a positive 3-day streak.
