NZD/USD hits 2-week highs ahead of RBNZ

FXStreet (Córdoba) - The NZD/USD extended gains during the European session and climbed to 0.8573 reaching the strongest level since May 27. Afterwards pulled back to 0.8538 (American session low) and currently is rising toward the highs as it trades at 0.8553, up 0.33% for the day.

NZD stronger before RBNZ

The Kiwi is rising for the second day in a row as traders await the decision of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. The institution is expected to raise rates by 25 basis points.

Across the baord, the New Zealand Dollar is among the best performers so far on Wednesday and also since the beginning of the week. The AUD/NZD pulled back below 1.1000 while the EUR/NZD is approaching 2014 lows trading around 1.5800.

AUD/USD fails to hold above 0.9400

The AUD/USD made an appearance above 0.9400 at the beginning of the American session but failed to sustain gains for long and pulled back slightly.
